S+B UK is proud to announce the successful completion of the science laboratories fit-out for The British International School of Barcelona, part of the Cognita Group of schools. The project involved the design, manufacturing, and installation of innovative furniture and fume cupboards for the school’s two new science labs at the BSB City Campus, set to open its doors this September in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi.
The newly fitted science labs were designed to the highest standards of quality and functionality. They feature collaborative SpaceStation and Saturn & Mercury student benches that align with the school’s student-centered approach.

Manufactured from cutting-edge materials like Corian, these furniture systems offer a durable and adaptable learning environment. Additionally, tall storage units and a mobile teacher’s desk were incorporated into the laboratories to enhance efficiency and organization.
Another feature of the labs is the shared Mobiline re-circulatory fume cupboard, designed for easy mobility, which can be wheeled and stored away seamlessly into the new Preparation Room when not in use. This smart solution ensures safety and convenience for both teachers and students during lab experiments.

BSB City Main Campus, an eagerly anticipated addition to The British School of Barcelona, is a remarkable educational facility spanning 6,800 m2.
