Doha British School (DBS), one of the premier international schools in Qatar, has recently opened its third campus, DBS Rawdat Al Hamama, near Lusail City in August 2022. The new campus boasts spacious open areas and an engaging layout that promotes collaborative and interactive learning experiences for students.
Designed to offer a cutting-edge educational environment, the campus features an array of state-of-the-art facilities. These include five purpose-built Science laboratories, two ICT/Computer Science Hubs, dedicated Science Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) facilities, Music and Art Interactive studios, performance areas, specialist Primary and Secondary Libraries, fully equipped Design and Technology workshops, an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, and a magnificent 300-seater contemporary auditorium.
S+B UK, in collaboration with CES Holdings, the global leader of educational supplies, designed, manufactured, and installed furniture and fume cupboards for the Biology, Chemistry, and Physics labs, as well as a preparation room and two Art rooms. These spaces were created to inspire curiosity, collaboration, and excellence among students, reaffirming DBS’s commitment to premium facilities, high-quality materials, and student-focused teaching methodologies.
The furniture systems chosen for the laboratories were the Saturn and Mercury workstations, which facilitate open communication between teachers and students and allow for comfortable group work and lectures. The sleek and stylish shapes of the workstations promote easy movement within the labs, creating a dynamic learning environment.

Building upon the success of our previous collaboration, S+B UK will return to Qatar this summer to install two more bespoke laboratories at DBS Rawdat Al Hamama. The Saturn and Mercury workstations, along with Teaching walls and demo desks, will be incorporated into the new labs, ensuring continuity in design and functionality.
