S+B has been awarded the contract for the supply, manufacture and installation of furniture systems for 4 Science Laboratories and 1 Preparation Room, in both Lower and Higher Schools.
Thomas Banyard, the Founding Headmaster with a background in teaching Science, wanted a range of laboratory furniture systems that provided flexibility, usability creating at the same time an inspiring learning space for students to enjoy science.
The S+B team worked with Thomas to offer different design options that suited their needs and the Saturn & Mercury and Service Towers & Tables were chosen.
The Saturn & Mercury system, with integral service console seamlessly jointed to the worktop and links with water services, allow students to sit comfortably either in group or lecture mode. It facilitates collaborative learning while stimulating student’s interest with its visually attractive shape.

The Service Towers & Tables System facilitates flexibility and easy rearrangement of the learning environment. The tables can be arranged in straight rows for forward-facing during theory classes or in clusters, during practice.

The SpaceSaver Teaching Walls and Mobiline re-circulatory & docking stations will be also incorporated into the design.

The furniture will be installed in May 2020.
