S+B has secured a project for the refurbishment of building 123 at GlaxoSmithKline site in Montrose, Scotland through main contractor Morrison Construction.
GSK Montrose produces ingredients for vaccines and will shortly manufacture sterile aluminium salts which are compounds that boost the human body’s response to vaccines.
The project uses S+B’s Utilaire range of laboratory furniture with Trespa TopLab Base worktops, the system design is primarily based on fixed central floor-mounted service spines and sink units with movable modular benches and mobile cabinets which are located on either side of the service spine.
The main contractor is Morrison Construction and the architects are Voight/Abell Nepp, final design work has started and our installation starts on site in January 2019.
S+B has worked on numerous GSK sites over the years but this is the first project we have secured at GSK Montrose.
To find out more about these furniture systems download the Pdf brochure from the Utilaire page or visit our Case Studies page to discover other completed projects.
