“It is fair to say that without the support and expertise of S+B our design technology STEAM lab would not have been possible. Where we as teachers are experts in delivering the content of a STEAM curriculum, S+B are experts in designing, making and fitting spaces that allow that curriculum to be truly ambitious. When we first approached S+B we knew very little about what was possible, all we knew was the spaces that we had to use and what we would like to teach in them.
S+B did all the leg work, talking through our ideas giving us advice and eventually delivering a world-class design for our spaces. Following that they supported us to tweak the ideas to ensure it was a perfect fit for our context (and budget!). They even custom-designed furniture to allow it to be adjustable height for different age ranges: an important feature to get the most from a Primary STEAM space.
Following the agreed design, S+B made the furniture, supported us in getting the room prepared for their arrival. The delivery and installation was perfectly on time and was flexible enough to fit into our safeguarding requirements. This is the second time we have used S+B for a room development project (previously they have installed a food tech room and a science lab) and I can safely say we would definitely use them for any future projects. ”
