Fume cupboard development process
Research, development and testing have proven that the highest containment standards for operator protection and the most efficient containment factors can be achieved by significant reductions in the amount of heated and conditioned air consumed, when compared to traditional fume hoods designs.
Ecoline has unique internal geometry, side stiles with purge and entrainment slots, front upper baffle and air high/air low alarm system. These features combine to give this fume cupboard the most efficient operator safety, environmental, initial and running cost ratio, making the Ecoline the ideal choice for your school or college.
Bespoke fume cupboard design
The pre-engineered Ecoline range is designed to cater for 90% of general fume cupboard applications, which makes it ideal for educational environments. For very specific requirements, S+B engineers are experts in developing solutions for specific client needs.
Design quality assurance
The Ecoline fume cupboards are designed in line with CLEAPSS recommendations and are independently Type Tested to BSEN14175 (also tested and compliant with ANSI ASHRAE 110) The test results demonstrate excellent fume containment and performance for the Ecoline fume cupboard.
Ecoline performed at a face velocity of 0.3m/ sec, which in turn provides the best possible operational efficiency measured through Containment Factor calculation (tested and certified down to 0.2m/sec). This means that energy savings of up to 40% can be achieved compared to traditional fume cupboard extraction rates, without compromise to the primary function of operator protection.
Additional information
Where a client has a preference for a higher face velocity, this can be accommodated without detriment to primary function.
