Wellington College International Pune is part of the prestigious Wellington College International family, renowned globally for its commitment to academic excellence. It is the first of the premium Wellington College schools in India and is set to transform the educational landscape in the country.
Located in Pune, Maharashtra, often referred to as the ‘Oxford of the East,’ the new campus designed by award-winning British architects embodies a fusion of the rich heritage of Wellington College UK and the vibrant Indian culture.
The school’s new state-of-the-art campus, which opened its doors in September 2023, aims to offer a world-class education that combines academic achievement with a progressive, holistic outlook. The campus includes Early Years and the Junior School, alongside a Senior School block which houses a dedicated Science Centre.
S+B UK successfully completed the installation of the first science lab within the Secondary School’s Science block. This lab features modern designs and specialised furniture systems, including the SpaceStation and Saturn workstations. These workstations are designed to support collaborative learning, allowing students to engage in group activities and hands-on experiments. The lab also includes a teacher’s desk and wall benching with integrated storage solutions, ensuring an organised and clutter-free space.
The second phase of the project is set to be completed by October 2024, including three additional laboratories dedicated to Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, along with three prep rooms. These dedicated learning spaces will further support the school’s vision to deliver high-quality science education, enhancing the learning experience for its students.
